The
first of our charity shop haul features, as a avid charity shop
hunter and finder of vintage gems I love a good rummage in a charity
shop. I know many people believe charity shops are a no go zone,
clothes of dead people etc etc so I want to change all you minds on
this and share the treats I find and love of the hunt for latest
wardrobe gem.
Due
to growing up on a budget and in a rural area where there where not
many shops charity shops become the norm for the Magpie girls but I
soon learned you can find some brilliant unique gems and create a
striking style. I have found so many vintage treats at bargain
prices, designer gems (vivienne westwood coat!) and supported some
wonderful charities at the same time. So I hope I can inspire you to
shop in the charity shops and find some treats to.
Vintage
Clements jacket
This
beautiful Clements wool jacket came from my local Mind charity shop
and what a treat it is. The jacket fits like a dream, like it was
made for me, made from a lightweight pure wool and in luscious blues
and greens with a hint of coral in the pattern. A perfect lightweight
spring coat to throw on in the chilly evenings or when the weather is
being rather unpredictable. I love this jacket and it will become a
wardrobe staple, all for only £12 to!
Vintage
Venice bag
A
fabulous new bag for the summer holidays, a vintage brown leather bag
with a cute little toggle fastening and fabulous embossed coloured
images of the romantic canals and history of Venice. The front of the
bag has a wonderful embossed images of the canals of Venice complete
with gondola and bridge with colourful stand glass windows. I love it
and its definite my new summer holiday bag and a total bargain at £4.
The
charity shop
Both
of these fabulous charity shop finds came form my local Mind charity
shop. Mind do amazing work to support those with mental health
issues, helping find routes to treatment, support. They
campaign
to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding
working
to remove the stigma
of mental health within wider society. They really do great work that
is worth supporting in anyway you can.
